The NAWCC School of Horology Clock Program prepares students to perform clock repair and restoration with skill and competence. Whether you are an aspiring professional or a serious hobbyist, you can acquire the training and knowledge necessary for success.
Beginning with an introduction to simple time-and-strike clocks, the course stresses professionalism and respect for the long and fascinating history of clockmaking. Students then learn basic repair techniques while progressing to other more complicated mechanisms. Advanced topics such as gear cutting, machine tools, and escapement repair and fabrication are also addressed.
Graduates, fully equipped with knowledge and skills in the art of clock repair, are well prepared to enter the field and will be able to successfully repair a wide variety of clocks. The Clock Repair program consists of 8 two-week courses and 2 three-week courses.
