C-100 Intro to Clock Repair: June 7-18, 2010 PDF Print E-mail

This course introduces the student to clock repair. Disassembly and assembly, cleaning and oiling are covered. Count wheel strikes and basic escapements are also covered. Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to identify various parts and functions using correct terminology; safely disassemble and reassemble clock movements; synchronize the strike train of the American-style strike movement; perform rudimentary service to movement; and perform calculations related to clock trains and pendulums.

PREREQUISITE: HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR G.E.D. OR HIGHER.
