This section of the specialized repairs curriculum focuses on more advanced repair techniques such as alternative bushing methods, escapement repairs, replacing hardened pivots, undoing poorly done previous repairs, and adjusting for timekeeping accuracy. Issues of basic case and dial repairs are also covered. In addition, this class offers students the opportunity to put their knowledge to use performing the complete repair process on various clocks. Business issues, interview skills, and other topics relating to postgraduate employment are also stressed. After completing this course, the student should be able to repair a wide variety of clock movements; develop repair skills through repetition; and prepare to enter the workplace
