This course covers the repair of anniversary, or 400-day, clocks with emphasis on their unique problems. We briefly look at the Atmos clock and discuss service procedures for this unique clock. Repairs to both modern and antique cuckoo clocks are also covered. After completing this course, the student should be able to disassemble and reassemble the 400-day movement; adjust the escapement; select and install the correct suspension spring; set the beat; regulate the timekeeping of the 400-day clock; remove and replace the movement of a cuckoo clock; replace the bellows; order and replace the movement for a modern cuckoo; adjust the music release; and disassemble, reassemble, and adjust an antique cuckoo clock.
